A Bit On The Batteries That Run My BAHA, The Bone Anchored Hearing Aid

There are certain things that come along with wearing a Cochlear Bone Anchored Solution, which in my case is also known as the BAHA, the Bone Anchored Hearing Aid that are huge benefits to them who wear this type of Cochlear Implant consistently. I do lean towards the BAHA, because this is the one that Is attached to the left side of my skull. Clear as bright day light, this little one inch by one half inch appliance is one best used often. The more one wears the processor, the more of a benefit it becomes...

...it's sort of like my Schwinn tricycle in the garage, if I don't keep those tire inflated, I know that I will not hop on and give it some practice time. It is my belief the same holds true with the BAHA.
If I do not have a quality battery operating the processor, the processor provides an inadequate product. Meaning, I am unable to hear, listen or enjoy what has been implanted onto my head for what will be the remainder of my life. I will have to provide the SIEMENS S13 another try sometime. As for now, I am very satisfied with a 13A that was provided to me by one of my audiologist at the Center. Or as He-Who-Touched-My-Brain, likes to say, "The Clinic".

Both batteries are manufactured in Germany, both are Zinc Air and one is 1.4V, the one provided by the clinic and the S13 is a 1.45V. In this case, more did not equal more or a better product. And, there are four less batteries in the SIEMENS package as well. Easy decision for me, en'it?

I have been associated with He-Who-Touched-My-Brain, for just about five years and I have learned to respect, love and admire him as my Specialist, all of the Audiologist and his entire staff at the place where it all began. I have never provided his name and will with hold as long as necessary, but I so much wish to share him with the world. As it is, He is in fact World Renown.
I am Blessed. Jah, know! I know this too! All Graces, all Blessings and Thanks go to One God!
