Relations,
Was able to take a stroll up down to Turtle Creek earlier.
Came across some neighbours whose dog had bailed from their house. Pat and Pam. Seem to be a nice couple to me. Pam reminds me of a friend Brenda and I know, our dearest Joyce. I sure hope their able to locate their little Lassie dog named Hootie. Kept both eyes and one ear wide open - whistled and hollered out her name every once in a bit. Poor things, Hootie has left the building.
Was not able to get down and into the creek yet. Mike from the county did a fantastic job making sure there was a wall dividing folks from the creek and up top. I am waiting for a small land slide to happen before I venture down and into the creek. Today I found more of these peach sized snail shells. The shells are fresh so am knowing it's the big birds who have moved in and made them selves at home with the fish, snails and what not. I saw the huge conch shell that I lost down the side of the wall on the North side of the Turtle Creek. Folks, I'm just not able to climb my large ass down to fetch some of those beauties I have seen. Yes, I have been tempted! I am only a Man, you know. I want to get down there and fetch some of those huge prehistoric clam shells I've seen. Grab hold of those prehistoric conch shells too. By the way, I have seen the return of fish! Now, it's a matter of getting down into the creek to net a few fish to feed Aunt Helen and Uncle Chester. Look, Uncle Chester is getting board with the pellets and Aunt Helen ate a small lizard today. Yes, Ma'am. Saw her do it before my very eyes. I mean, Aunt Helen, in like three chomps ate the whole poor lizard! The sooner I am able to get these two some live vittles, the happier they'll be. Me too.
We just had a super rain out here in the preserve. More like one of those fabulous thunder showers we're so well known for down here in Central Florida. Gray dark clouds, thunder, torrential down pours and so much wind. It was as if there was a miniature tropical storm come right through here. Don't get me wrong please, I am plenty happy and blessed for the rains we have had. I know that my yard has grass growing something beautiful and my plants, bushes, shrubs and trees are all very happy. I pray the years of drought are gone. Great Spirit, Please.
Spoke with my Life Long friend early this afternoon. An old Army Comrade. I am fortunate and also blessed having kept in touch with this fellow. He who is from an island far far and away. Good Man he is. His entire family is so loving and generous. Soon we will have a face to face reunion. What a reunion this shall be! It is in the blood and I love him as Kinfolk.
I was able to get some sleep last night. Was medicated - but I slept good and proper. Woke up fairly early this morning and got busy. This felt like me. Not the I that sleeps for days - or the me who now stays awake for 38 hours at a time. My body feels rested as does my mind. I feel refreshed and the aches and pains in my neck and spine have subsided. I am Blessed. My steps today are taken with a bit of pep. Am happy about this. I really am.
The Meniere's Disease has been at ease thus far today. Symptoms have been mild with the exception of the noises between the two ears. My right ear has this ROARING sound of deep forest critters and my left Dear ear has this odd warbling, distorted sound that comes and goes and goes and comes back. Almost Twilight Zone sounding stuff. The dizziness is mid-range and the nausea is at the top of my chest and the base of my throat. No activity today. Thank God. My walk was stepped with purpose and I felt strong. The balance and coordination was a wee bit off, but I have to keep that pep in this step.
Wonderful idea keeping that pep in my step as I walk this, My Path.
Ciao Bella's!
