My Dear Sir,
I thought of you today. Had to stop and catch the notion that you no longer live across the bay...
...that you've been gone a while, that it was the AIDS that took you away.
I forget to remember that you're up there with Jesus, Mary, Joseph and the Angels...
...I try to forget to remember Sir. I miss you and you missed me and this still hurts, you see.
It's raining out, the sky's grey, gloomy and dark. All reminds me of trip's to St. Pete...
...to see you, to be with you, to feel you, to listen to you and feel your strong arms around me.
Memories of your love, your touch, so intense the strength as you held me so tightly.
Sir, I still carry the guilt of breaking you're heart. I truly did not wish to tear us apart...
...the bitter pain that often comes with dreaded dagger or a bulls eye dart.
Those tools of the mind Sir, that makes bitter and always pierces my heart.
You kind Sir, were and will always be my Friend. I remember once even much more than that.
It is sad knowing that I'll never ever see you again, my dearest Sir...
...sometimes I hear and listen to your voice with the song of the Night Bird.
Sometimes I listen to your favorite songs and wonder...
...and imagine.
What this life would have been like, if I kept my word.
