This is a Musical Wonder, this fellow, Mr. Curtis Mayfield. I miss and mourn his passing still.

This tune was chosen because it represents a time in my life when things were truly Funky and Fun. Inspite of the Balxplotation of the film, Super Fly, I say it more times than I can remember. Was able to see this at The Tampa Theater downtown. Over and over again, I would veiw these movies and through the story and the music was able to learn lessions that remain with me to this day. More often than not, I was the sole pale skinned Mixed Breed in the entire theater. Never troubled or molested in any way. None. I was always welcomed.
